Financial Policy
At Gilreath Family Dentistry, we aim to make your experience as smooth and transparent as possible. This financial policy outlines the payment expectations and options available to our patients. Please take a moment to review the following information to understand how payment and insurance claims will be handled.
For all services rendered, payment is due at the time of your visit. We kindly ask that you settle any outstanding balances at this time.
Insurance & Payment Information
“At Gilreath Family Dentistry, our commitment has always been to the person in the chair — not the insurance company on the card. That’s why, after 60+ years serving Marietta families, we made the decision to no longer participate as an in-network provider with any dental insurance company.”
“Here’s why: over the past two decades, insurance reimbursement rates have barely moved, while claims have become harder to work with — more denials, more repeated documentation requests, more time spent fighting for coverage instead of caring for patients. Most dental insurance carriers are for-profit companies answerable to their shareholders, which naturally puts pressure on limiting what they pay out. To maintain the standard of care, technology, and personal attention our patients expect — the same standard that’s kept us a trusted family practice for generations — we can’t build our fees around rates that no longer reflect the real cost of quality dentistry. Our current fees are benchmarked against comparable local practices, not dictated by any single insurance company.”
“What this means for you: we still accept your insurance and will submit your claims as a courtesy, and many out-of-network plans still provide meaningful benefits. Our in-house insurance specialist is happy to walk you through your specific coverage before any treatment, so you know what to expect. Any remaining balance after your insurance pays is the patient’s responsibility, same as with any out-of-network provider.”
