Hyaluronic acid is a substance that the body produces naturally and is a building block for youthful skin. Unfortunately, hyaluronic acid also gets depleted with age, which results in sagging skin and lost volume in the face.
Dermal fillers with hyaluronic acid can be strategically injected in the skin like Botox. Instead of freezing the muscles, however, fillers work to “fill in” the lines and wrinkles. Facial filler treatment offers immediate results, but like Botox, it won’t last forever. Repeated injections will be necessary to keep your youthful complexion, but many fillers can last 6-18 months!
