Dr. Paul Gilreath IV is the Founder and CEO of Gilreath Family Dentistry Marietta. Known as a “dentist’s dentist”, Dr. Gilreath has developed a practice where you will feel comfortable and know you are treated with the utmost care and compassion. He has helped thousands of people in Marietta and Cobb County to improve their smiles and obtain excellent dental health.
His artistic eye has allowed him to produce dentistry at the highest level, with patient comfort and satisfaction as his primary goals. Dr. Gilreath has lectured on cosmetics, Same Day Crown treatment, Dental Implants, and Invisalign. In addition to his knowledge of general dentistry, full reconstructions, and smile makeovers, Dr. Gilreath has extended education in orthodontics, dental sleep medicine, and implant placement and restoration. He is one of only two Platinum Level Invisalign Dentists in GA and the only one in North Georgia. He is a Fellow of the International College of Oral Implantology, a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, The American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, as well as the American Dental Association.

Dr. Gilreath graduated from The Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in 1991 and then returned to Marietta to start a private practice. He worked with his father for 20 years. Dr. Gilreath’s interest in cosmetic dentistry and helping people enhance their smiles propelled him to learn and practice advanced techniques in the art of smile design and dental reconstructive techniques. Dr. Gilreath is a strong advocate of continuing education, and he routinely attends advanced cosmetic/general dentistry conventions and courses around the country every year. Dr. Gilreath has advanced training in orthodontics and facial Esthetics, including Botox Fillers and Dental Sleep Medicine. He is one of the South’s leading Invisalign dentists and is a Gold Plus Level provider.

Personal Bio
Dr. Gilreath grew up in Marietta, GA, where he attended Marietta High School. He is a pianist and composer and received a degree in Music Composition from Stetson University and then attended the University of Southern California to do his Master’s work. During the 80s and 90s, he composed music for film, television, and video games in Los Angeles and Atlanta. He has been a featured soloist with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and has recorded several solo albums where members of the ASO were featured. He has been a featured performer at the Montreaux Atlanta Jazz Festival, Chastain Park Amphitheater, and has conducted the Cobb Symphony (now the Georgia Symphony) in several performances. In 2010, Dr. Gilreath produced the feature film 96 Minutes, which starred Brittany Snow (Pitch Perfect, Hairspray) and David Oyelowo (Selma, The Butler). They filmed in Marietta Square, around Marietta, and in Atlanta. As of late, one of Dr. Gilreath’s song was used in the final episode of HBO’s Righteous Gemstones.
Dr. Gilreath is active in his community. He has served as Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Cobb Symphony Orchestra (now the Georgia Symphony) and is a member of The High Museum. He has been on the Advisory Board for several local banks and Kennesaw State University’s School of Music. Dr. Gilreath has also served as a Governor for The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (The Grammy’s). Gilreath Family Dentistry is one of the primary corporate sponsors for The Marietta City Schools Band program and Gilreath’s provides financial support to many local, national, and international charities.
Both of his children, Quint and Birdie, are musicians. His son Quint played drums in the band at Marietta and played tenor (quads) for 3 years in the MHS marching band. Quint is a Business Major at Kennesaw State University College. Birdie was the drum major for the 2021 Fall football season at Marietta High School. She is a sophomore at NYU in New York City.
