Transparent Dental Payment Options at Our Marietta Office
Gilreath Family Dentistry is committed to making every patient’s financial experience as smooth and transparent as possible. We accept most dental insurance plans, file claims on behalf of our patients, and offer flexible payment and financing options for preventive, cosmetic and restorative dental care.
Before any treatment begins, our in-house insurance specialist reviews each patient’s coverage and explains what to expect. This way there are no surprises when it comes to dental costs.
Why Gilreath Family Dentistry Is an Out of Network Dental Practice
For more than 60 years, the commitment at Gilreath Family Dentistry has been to the person in the chair, not the insurance company on the card. That commitment led our practice to stop participating as an in network provider with any dental insurance company.
Over the past two decades, dental insurance reimbursement rates have barely changed. Meanwhile, the claims process has grown more difficult, with more denials and repeated documentation requests, and more time spent seeking coverage instead of caring for patients.
To maintain the standard of care, advanced technology and personal attention our patients expect, Gilreath Family Dentistry does not build its fees around insurance rates that no longer reflect the true cost of quality dentistry. Our fees are benchmarked against comparable local dental practices, not dictated by any single insurance carrier.
How Out of Network Insurance Works
Being out of network does not mean insurance cannot be used. Gilreath Family Dentistry still accepts most dental insurance plans and submits claims as a courtesy to our patients. Many plans, especially PPO plans, include meaningful out of network benefits that help cover preventive, restorative and major dental treatment.
Our insurance specialist is happy to review a specific plan before treatment and estimate expected coverage. Any remaining balance after insurance pays is the patient’s responsibility, as with any out of network dental provider.
For larger treatment plans, such as dental implants, porcelain veneers, Invisalign or full mouth reconstruction, financing may be available through third party providers like CareCredit, subject to approval. Financing allows patients to move forward with recommended care now while spreading payments over time.
Payment Options at Gilreath Family Dentistry
Payment is due at the time of service for all dental treatment. We accept a variety of payment methods for convenience:
- Cash
- Credit and debit cards
- HSA and FSA accounts
