Fun Ways To Use Toothpaste Beyond Your Teeth

There should be no question that your toothpaste is designed to clean your teeth, and that is what we recommend you use it for. However, when you are not squeezing out toothpaste to dazzle your smile, there are some other handy ways to put it to use. Did you know that you can use toothpaste to accomplish the following?

#1 Polish Silver Jewelry: Grab an old toothbrush and a dab of toothpaste and work in a circular motion to give your silver jewelry an extra sparkle.

#2 Repair a CD or DVD Scratch: Before you throw out that DVD that keeps skipping, try buffing out the scratch with your toothpaste. Simply use your finger to rub the toothpaste on the disk. Keep rubbing as you put it under warm water. Wipe it dry with a soft cloth and discover your scratch-free DVD or CD!

#3 Fill Wall Holes: You don’t have to buy expensive products for small holes or cracks in your walls, especially those minor blemishes caused by nails. Your toothpaste can serve as an effective filler. Smooth it over with a spatula, use a bit of touch-up paint and your walls can be restored to new.

#4 Clean The Iron: If you have residue on your iron blade, a little toothpaste can get it sparkling clean. Just don’t forget to rinse off the toothpaste with a damp washcloth or sponge before you start ironing your clothes again.

#5 Pimple Treatment: After you brush your teeth before bed, go ahead and dab some toothpaste on your pimples too. Toothpaste can dry out acne overnight and help them go away faster.

While toothpaste is known for handling bacteria, plaque and stains on your teeth, it can also be useful around the house too. Your toothpaste can be a budget-friendly solution to common problems ranging from acne treatment to DVD scratches!
