Marietta Paul Gilreath IV DMD
To foster the type of practice he had built, Dr. Gilreath designed a dental office that would provide maximum relaxation, comfort and beautiful surroundings. In 2005, he celebrated the opening of his new dental office which provided a beautiful and comfortable environment for his patients–more like a spa than a typical dental office.
Dr. Gilreath is active in his community. He has served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Cobb Symphony Orchestra (now the Georgia Symphony) and is a member of Cobb Landmarks, The High Museum, The Marietta/Cobb Museum and several other organizations. He has been on the Advisory Board for several local banks and Kennesaw State University’s School of Music. Dr. Gilreath has also served as a Governor for The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (The Grammy’s). Every year, Dr. Gilreath provides free dental care to less fortunate individuals including women and children who have been victims of domestic violence.
He and his wife Channie and their two children, Quintin and Birdie live in Marietta, GA.
In addition to his talents in the dental profession, Dr. Gilreath has a background in music for film and television. He lived in Los Angeles for 5 years in the late 1980s and wrote music for many films and television shows. He has also written music used in the 2002 and 2004 Olympic Games and The Masters Golf Tournament and music for several video games. He is the author of The Guide to MIDI Orchestration, a textbook used in colleges all around the world. Dr. Gilreath no longer composes or performs professionally but he does enjoy playing locally with friends in and around Marietta.
